Liberty, Port St. Joe Get Set for Title Showdown

Bristol/Port St. Joe, FL---As we look ahead to the 10th Friday of high school football there are a few games in particular that stick out, including a few that will determine district champions.

One of those is the game between Liberty and Port St. Joe.
The Bulldogs are 7-1 and 2-0 in district play. The Sharks are 6-2/2-0, so both have already clinched no worse than the runner up district berth, but the winner of this one gets the 1A District 4 Championship, making this match up our Personal Attention Dental Care game of the week!

"A lot of people said this was a rebuilding year for us" says Liberty head coach Grant Grantham "and we didn't look at it that way. We've got a chance to win the district title, which you always want to win. And we're guaranteed a playoff spot. We're just really proud of our kids and ready to go play an exciting game this Friday."

"There's no doubt" says St. Joe head coach Chuck Gannon "about it we're in the playoffs for sure and you know it's been awhile since we've done that. And everybody in town's excited, our kids are excited. But the bottom line is it's for the district championship, which we haven't been in that situation for awhile. Plus if you, bottom line if you get beat the loser has to go to Blountstown and play and that's not a good thing because Blountstown's one of the top teams in our area, if not the top team."

So the stage is set, again that game in Port St. Joe and kickoff set for 7:30 eastern, 6:30 central.
