Marlins Beat Bay Advance to District Semifinals

Panama City Beach, FL---The Arnold Marlins survive and advance in the 5A-1 district tournament they are hosting, beating Bay in the so called play-in game Monday 5-0.

Sean Reichart tossing the shutout for the Marlins, he also provided the early offense with a two run homer in the first.

The victory moves Arnold to 7-17 on the season and into the district semifinals Tuesday evening against top seed Rutherford. Bay finishes 1-20.

The Rams won both their previous meetings this season. That game Tuesday night set for 6 o'clock. The winner of that game will face the winner of the other semifinal between West Florida and Gulf Breeze.

Tornadoes with Sean Nguyen on the hill to start, man on here in the first, Sean Reichart to deep left, it carries over the fence and the Marlins have a quick 2-0 lead.

Reichart getting it done at the dish, getting it done on the bump, top of the second gets Marcus Kinsey on strikes.

Nguyen would settle down nicely, scoreless innings in the second and third, here he gets the strikeout.

Top of the 4th, after two were out the Marlins got a single, double and a walk to load up the bases but Nguyen gets Braden Burns to pop up to end that threat. The Marlins though would add 3 more and get the
¶5-0 win.
