Marlins Hoping for Bounce Back Game Vs. Rutherford

Panama City Beach, FL---There are several big district games set for Friday night, including Rutherford at Arnold, which is also a good
intra-county rivalry.

This one our Southern Orthopedic Specialists Game of the Week.

The Marlins who are coming off a bye week, so extra time to prepare for this one and head coach James Hale believes they made good use of that time.

"I tell you we had a really good week of practice, gave them off Monday. We didn't practice on Friday but we had three good days of work, I thought the attitude was outstanding, the work ethic was great. And we got better. I don't know if we got better enough to win a football game but we definitely got better."

Like the Rams, the Marlins are 1-4 with two of those losses to 6A teams Pace and Mosley, another to district foe Gulf Breeze.

"We're in the same boat we were this time last year," says Hale "we were 1-3 and we bounced back and tied for the district championship. We beat West Florida which was undefeated and ranked 7th in the state. So our kids know that, we've been here before it's up to us what we're gonna do. Are we gonna decide to bounce back and have something positive happen, or keep feeling sorry for ourselves. And hopefully we'll bounce back and make something positive happen."

That game a 7:30 start Friday night at Gavlak, and will be one of several we feature on Friday Night Overtime at 10:15.
