Panama City Beach, FL---Coming off a tough loss to county rival Mosley, the Arnold Marlins are gearing up for their first district game, on the road Friday at Gulf Breeze.
The Marlins must put behind them quickly the 42-14 beating at the hands of the Dolphins, though head coach James Hale says that may be easier said than done.
"With a big emotional game like that, when things go bad early, you duck your head and feel sorry for yourself, first thing, now you know you're down not by one touchdown but by two touchdowns, or three. They did a better job of having their guys ready to play. We got outplayed, out coached and we've got to live with it. Now we've got to bounce back and get ready for the first real game of the year, our first district game, Gulf Breeze.
That a team that's 1-1 so far, with a win over Walton and a 7 point loss to Catholic. Hale knows Gulf Breeze will present problems similar to Mosley.
"They've got a huge offensive line, their offensive line is actually bigger than Mosley's. They run a lot of counter plays, they got tight splits and they crush people. So it's not gonna get any easier for our defense. We have got to play better if we are to have any opportunity to be successful, or competitive against teams, we're gonna have to play better defense."
That the first of 4 district games for Arnold.
