Mason Decides to Jump to NFL Draft

Auburn, AL---There's a little bit of bad, though not unexpected news for the Auburn faithful Thursday.

Running Back Tre Mason is going to skip his senior season and jump to the NFL draft. The junior out of Palm Beach saw his stock shoot up late in the season, 164 yards and one touchdown in the Iron Bowl.

Then a 304 yard, four touchdown performance in the SEC title game win over Missouri.

He capped it all off with 195 yards and two touchdowns in the BCS title game loss to the Seminoles.

Mason broke Bo Jackson's school record of 1,786 rushing yards with 18-hundred-16 yards.

Juniors Cameron Artis-Payne and Corey Grant should be next up in the Auburn backfield. They combined for over 12 hundred yards rushing and 12 touchdowns last season.
