Moore Wins First State Title at FHSAA Track and Field Finals

Jacksonville, FL---Local track and field athletes chased state championships at the FHSAA track and field championship meet, taking place at the University of North Florida.

Freeport's Gabe Moore, who's already competed on the national and international stage, finally gets that elusive state gold medal, adding a FHSAA championship to his resume. He won the long jump today with a leap of 6.85 meters.

Gabe also winning a silver the 110 hurdles, a bronze in the pole vault and finished 7th in discuss.

Three other area track athletes getting bronze, including the Sneads boys 4x100 relay team of Goodson, Williams, Mcwhite, and Wert, Rutherford's Cynikeia Bostwick third in the triple jump, and boy's triple jump, Roderick Copeland gets third.
