Scranton, PA----Call it another step in the comeback of Mosley and Gulf Coast alum David Herndon. He's now with the Yankees AAA team in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Herndon's trying to work his way back to the big's after Tommy John surgery over a year ago. He was waived by the Phillies after last season, then claimed by Toronto, waived again and claimed by the Yankees.
So far this season he's spent time in single, double and now triple-A.
Herndon made his debut with the Scranton RailRiders a couple of nights ago tossing 1 and a third hitless relief, with 2 k's. All totaled in minor league ball this summer he's 2-2 with a 3-point-2 era and 28 strikeouts in 25 innings.
If he continues pitching well for Scranton it's very possible he could get a September call up by the Yankees!
By the way among David's assistant coaches at Scranton, Gulf Coast alum Frank Menchino!
