Lynn Haven, FL---The Mosley volleyball team was able to exact a small touch of revenge last night for it's only loss of the season so far.
Mosley beating Niceville 3 sets to 1 Tuesday night at the Redfern Gym, leaving the Lady Dolphins just half a game behind Niceville atop the 6-A district two standings.
The set scores in that match, 25-11, 25-22, 17-25 and 25-17. So Mosley moves to 14-1 overall, 6-1 in district play. Niceville now 13-10, 7-1 in district. If Mosley wins at Crestview Thursday, they and Niceville will be tied for the top seed going into the district tournament, with that top seeding being determined by a coin flip.
Rachel Skibba led Mosley with a career high 24 kills, and senior Lauren Corbin had 28 digs playing with a dislocated shoulder, that injury suffered in practice Monday.
The video attached shows the following:
-This is action from set one, Mosley on the right side of your screen, and getting the bump from Nicole Valle, the set by Heidi Nix, and the kill by Rachel Skibba, set point, 25-11 set one to Mosley.
-Second set, Niceville looking to rally, great dig by Kimy Sarra, the bump from Kayla Henrie which sets up Breana Rodriguez with the kill to the back line, two point lead early for Niceville in that set.
-Mosley though rallies back, and this perhaps the point of the match, back and forth they go, each with chances to win the point, after some terrific digs on the Mosley side, they set up #7 Hayden McGee who wins the point with the spike.
