Mosley Falls in Volleyball Region Semifinals

Gulf Breeze, FL---Once again Mosley's volleyball season ends with region semifinal heartbreak. For the 5th consecutive season, the Lady Dolphins lose in the region semifinals, falling at Gulf Breeze in 3 hard fought sets.

The set scores 25-17, 26-24, 25-18. So Mosley's season comes to an end with a 25-4 record. It was their 4th match against district rival Gulf Breeze. Mosley won their two meetings in the regular season, but Gulf Breeze won when they met in the 5A-1 district final, and again Tuesday night in the 5A Region Semifinals.

It was a tough end to what was a strange season for the Lady Dolphins. who lost their head coach Steve Canfield after just a few games in. Michelle Mask took over and led the squad to the 24-2 regular season mark, and eventually to the district runner up spot, and two playoff matches.

Gulf Breeze wins the first set, we pick it up in the second, Mosley down 24-23 in the set, #3 Makayla Lewis sets Nicolle Valle for the point, tied at 24.

Next point, after the teams fire back and forth one time, Gulf Breeze blocks Rachel Skibba's shot at the net, and then Gulf Breeze wins point on T'ara Ceasar's mishandle, crucial point there as Gulf Breeze wins that set 26-24.

3rd set: Mosley's Kiyana Yangson, great receive of serve off the tape, Kenley Adams sets and Rachel Skibba delivers the big hit!!!

Mosley gunning for the comeback still, Melanie Canfield goes up and gets the big block for another point.

But it was not to be for Mosley, Sage Dunne backsets Julia Denby on the Gulf Breeze side, Gulf Breeze wins in three hard fought sets 25-17, 26-24, 25-18! Again Mosley's season ends in the region semi's!
