Mosley Softball Headed to Regional Finals After Beating Wakulla

Lynn Haven, FL---You think you couldn't stand all the rain this week? How do you think the Mosley Lady Dolphins felt.

They were supposed to play their regional semifinal game Tuesday, itching to continue their chase for a state title.

Saturday we got sunshine, which means Saturday, we got softball, with Mosley and Wakulla facing off for a trip to the regional finals.

In the highlights attached above, Lady 'Fins ace Katie Lopes on the rubber, holding it down in the first with one of many strikeouts.

But same inning, trouble, from the bat of MIchael Cooper, unloads a solo shot to left. Wakulla up 1-0.

But the green and orange answer in their half of the first, Laney Haynes singles through the hole in right. Kiana Yangson scores. Tie game.

Until the 4th, Kristen Hutto loops one to left that drops. Taylor Register, Mackenzie Johnson, come on home. Mosley up 3-1.

That's all Lopes would need. She K's the side swinging in the 5th, 11 strikeouts for the game.

The Lady Dolphins win it 3-1 and will hit the road for the regional finals. They'll face Ponte Vedra this Monday.
