Mosley head football coach Perry Brown talks about lessons learned in the preseason game against Rutherford as he and the 'fins prepare for Thursday's opener vs. Wakulla.

Lynn Haven, FL-- Let's talk high school football and take it over to Mosley. The Dolphins getting set to open the regular season Thursday night at home against a Wakulla team that's expected to be very good this season. The 'fins coming off last Friday's preseason game against Rutherford, getting a 31-23 win. Here's coach Brown's assessment of that effort.

Perry Brown
Mosley Head Coach

"Well I like the effort, the kids were really getting after it. Both squads, Rutherford you know they came out there and played hard. Both teams, a lot of fans told me it was a great game to watch so we got a lot out of it. Offensively we have to do a little better job of protecting the quarterback, staying with our blocks. Backs staying on their blocks, carrying on the fake, that kind of thing. Running with a little more authority. Defensively, being able to run through blockers, we're going around people instead of going through people, that kind of thing.

Coach says his guys better work all that out quickly because he says they'll get a very tough test Thursday against Wakulla. We'll hear more on that Tuesday at ten.
