Hoover, AL---Hard to believe but we are just around the corner from college football players having to report to their respective schools for the start of fall practice.
With that in mind, the SEC kicking off the college preseason, if you will, with the annual SEC Media Days just outside Birmingham.
Among those in front of the press horde up there Monday, Florida's Will Muschamp, who certainly begins the season on the hot seat coming off a 4-8 2013 season.
"We've improved our talent level offensively." says Muschamp. "We've got some guys that we think are very good football players. I'm extremely excited about Jeff Driskel. I think we have a good enough mix of talent, experience and even the lack of experience on some positions on defense, some very talented players. And I'll take talent over experience any day. So that combination of guys we're excited about.
As for playing for a coach on the "hot seat" the players, including Jeff Driskel don't seemed concerned about that, or how it might affect them.
"I don't think we're putting any added pressure on ourselves to play for coach Muschamp's job or anything like that." Driskel said Monday. "But I do think in college football coaches are always on the hot seat, people are always moving around. And there's always pressure to win, and that's what we're gonna do this year is win!"
Muschamp, Driskel and the rest of the Gators will hit the practice field three weeks from Monday, August 4th.
