Muschamp Talks About Florida's Defensive "Culture"

Gainesville, FL----Call it a very tough test for the Gators Saturday as they play at 10th ranked LSU. You figure if the Gators are to win, they'll need another big effort from what's been so far, a rather dominant defense, even with so many young players stepping into key roles.

It's a second straight season the Florida football team has had to rely on a stellar defense to do the "heavy lifting".

"The most pleasing thing is a little bit of a culture we've created." says head coach Will Muschamp. "When a Dante Fowler comes in your program and he sees how Jon Bostic practices, how Jelani Jenkins practices, how Dominique Easley practiced. The same for Jon Bullard, the same for Antonio Morrison, the same for the young safeties, same for the young corners. Vernon Hargreaves sees how those guys prepare themselves each week. And so you take good talent and guys are willing to have that blue collar mentality, and work hard at it and come together for a common purpose you can do some good things."
