Gainesville, FL--The Florida Gators are some four days into their fall workouts and the among the positions Muschamp and Pease are focused on, the quarterback spot.
Starting qb. Jeff Driskel isn't practicing as he heals from that appendectomy last week.
So Muschamp and O-C Brent Pease are looking at redshirt junior Tyler Murphy, redshirt freshman Skylar Morningwheg and even true freshman Max Staver taking the snaps. Muschamp says he's particularly impressed with Staver.
"Max has got a live arm, I think he's done some really nice things. Brent and I were talking this morning, and pleased with him. Skylar's been a guy that's progressed well. But you see some of the big throws that Max can make is something that jumped out at camp. Again he's swimming right now but because of the situation has been able to get more reps maybe than we would have before."
Will says Driskel set to visit the doc's Wednesday or Thursday and they'll evaluate his status after that. He says running back Matt Jones, recovering from a viral infection is "moving around some" and could get back to doing some work next week.
