Gainesville, FL--- For most college football programs, the break for exams is over and they are back to work preparing for their respective bowl games.
The Florida Gators in fact went back to work over the weekend, and will practice through late next week before taking another break for Christmas.
The time off is valuable says coach Muschamp, not just for academics. He says it's essential for the kids to get a break physically and mentally in the one month plus leading into a bowl game.
"You can practice too much," says coach Muschamp "you can work out too much, you can become stale with your team. You know I've always looked at it as practicing 7 or 8 times here in Gainesville. And you go to the bowl site and get another 5 or 6 practices. Look at like another spring ball. You've got to keep it interesting for your guys."
Florida currently favored by 9 going into the Sugar Bowl game against Louisville, which is set for January 2nd in New Orleans.
