Gainesville, FL-- Here we are about to head into March Madness and we're talking college football. That's right, believe it or not, both the Seminoles and Gators open up their Spring practices tomorrow. For Jimbo Fisher it's the continuation of what was a rather successful rookie campaign as head coach of the 'noles.
Down in Gainesville meanwhile, it's the rookie debut, if you will of the Gators new coach Will Muschamp.
Florida Head Coach
"Really proud of where we are right now. We just finished a five-week off-season program and really put the players through a lot, worked four days a week, as far as agility system, plyometrics, endurance training, lifting with Mickey [Marotti] in the weight room, so real proud of their effort.
I really think in the off-season, that's where you build your football team. You build the mental toughness it's going to take to be successful. You find out a lot about individual players at this time what they are willing to push through. You find out a lot about where your leadership is on the football team and that's what we need to continue to address and work on."
Spring wraps up with the Orange and Blue game April 9th.
