Niceville gears up for a round one playoff game against a 9-1 Navarre team.

Niceville, FL--We start with yet another look ahead to round one of the state football playoffs, tonight focusing on the 4-A level and a team that made it all the way to the championship game a year ago.
¶I'm talking about the Niceville Eagles, who this year, posted a 7-2 overall mark, winning all three games in District two play, beating Mosley, Fort Walton Beach and Crestview to claim the league title.
That has them hosting 9-1 Navarre in the region quarterfinals, and that's a big deal says coach Hicks.

John Hicks
Niceville Head Coach

"I think the difference of being at home is when you have adversity. You know when things don't go well, or something goes wrong the crowd is still behind you, and can help you get back in the game. I think that's one of the advantages of being at home. Most of our kids have been in the playoffs games every year. So they're used to it, they're used to the atmosphere. And you know playing a difficult schedule I think is an advantage for us."

That game Friday night set for a 7:30 kickoff.
