'Noles Line up Game with Oklahoma St. in 2014

Tallahassee, FL---The Seminoles are working already to beef up what's been a weak schedule in recent seasons.

FSU has signed up to open the 2014 season against Oklahoma State at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas. That will be a prime time game.

The Seminoles kind of beaten up in the national press this year for a rather easy schedule.

It's worth noting it's not FSU's fault the ACC was so down this season, and the non conference slate was supposed to feature a game against a ranked West Virginia team. The Mountaineers though dropped out of that commitment after moving to the Big 12.

That left FSU playing the likes of Murray and Savannah State, awful conference foes like Wake, Duke, BC and others.

The sixth annual "Cowboys Classic" will be August 30th, and once again puts FSU in the national spotlight to begin the season, like it was when Florida State and Miami played those Labor Day games in prime time for a few years.

Playing Oklahoma State means the Seminoles won't likely face Notre Dame, which is going to play 5 ACC games a season until at least 2015.

This game in 2014 won't help a weak schedule for the 'noles in 2013 with games against Nevada, Idaho and Wofford on the non conference slate, with the Gators at the end. Let's hope the ACC opponents all improve.
