Northwest Florida State and Chipola each get big conference baseball wins Monday.

Panama City, FL-- Monday was a big day of play in the Panhandle Conference. As the day began it was Northwest Florida State and Chipola sharing first place with 6-3 league records. Gulf Coast was two games out, at 4-5, but with the chance to go head to head
¶one of the teams in front, the Commodores in Niceville tMonday, 8 strong innings for Raiders starter Matt Lane as Northwest gets an 8-1 win, so they move to 27-8, 7-3 in conference. What about the Indians, looks like a football score but it's accurate, 18-14 Chipola, which gladly accepted 15 walks from Pirates pitching, to go along with 12 hits. These two teams using 13 pitchers combined. Chipola 24-14, also 7-3, they stay tied with the Raiders for the league lead. Same matchups Wednesday at Gulf Coast and Chipola.
