Niceville, FL-- In juco hoops and so far so good in non-conference play for the Northwest Florida State men's team so far. 12 games in, they have 11 wins. Perhaps a surprise given that just before the season began the Raiders found out their veteran coach Bruce Stewart was stepping away to fight a brain tumor.
Joe Richardson stepped in and has done a very nice job of guiding the team and it's safe to say he's happy with way things are going.

Joe Richardson
NWF State Head Coach

"Definitely pleased, you know we got a young bunch, we got 9 freshman on the roster. So to be sitting at 11 and 1 we feel real good about it. but definitely not satisfied because you know we still have a long way to go to take it where we want to take it. But definitely pleased with the effort and results thus far."

Northwest hosts Delgado tomorrow night in what will be the final game in the old gym.
