Lakeland, FL---West Gadsden is looking ahead to their 1A state semifinal Tuesday in Lakeland, and as the coach puts it, his team is loose and ready!
The Panthers face Union in the "early" game if you will Tuesday morning at the Lakeland Center. They have a ten a.m. eastern time date with Union, out of Lake Butler in between Gainesville and Jacksonville.
We caught up with Coach Andrew Moten and his Panthers at their team meal Monday night in Lakeland.
Coach Andrew Moten taking his team to Lakeland Sunday, giving them the extra day there.
They worked out at a local rec center Monday morning, watched some game film of Union, and then a team meal, after which Ted spoke with coach Moten about their match up.
"Don't know very much. We caught bits and pieces of their game last year. And know that they're small in stature, small in size. We're just gonna go out and play our game, we can't be concerned about them, we just gotta go out and play our game. Our guys are loose and I want them to be loose, and this is why we got them down here early, get them acclimated. And I think they're ready, ready to play, we're ready to take the court now."
The Panthers 24-9 this season, that includes some big wins at Ocala's "Kingdom of the Sun" tournament in December.
Coach Moten saying that was great experience for his guys traveling and playing in that atmosphere. Ted will have all the highights and post game reaction Tuesday night at 5, 6 and 10.
