Paxton High School Family Dealing with Tragic Loss

Paxton, FL---Just a few days after experiencing the joy of winning the girl's 1A state title down in Lakeland, the extended Paxton school family is dealing with serious heartache.

Randy Infinger, an assistant coach with the girls' basketball team suffered a heart attack and died Sunday while driving to visit his daughter in Troy Alabama.

The 49 year old Infinger, a graduate of Walton High School who coached many different sports for the last quarter of a century.

Paxton principal Beth Tucker telling the Northwest Florida Daily News Monday was "a very difficult day. Randy touched the lives of kids from kindergarten through 12th grade, and he was such a good person."

He's survived by his wife and two daughters. The funeral is Wednesday in Defuniak Springs.
