Pirates End 2014 Season in a Tie

Panama City Beach, FL---The sails have been set for the final time.

After the Panama City Beach Pirates were officially eliminated from postseason play last week, reality set in that tonight wouldn't just be the home finale. It'd be the season finale.

Saturday's rain leaving a soggy pitch for the Pirates, hosting Mississippi Brilla.

In the highlights attached above, the Pirates slip up first.

In the seventh minute, Jack Willison tries to clear the header, but ends up deflecting it off keeper Braedon Luna. 1-0 Brilla leads.

They get another gift in the 16th minute, this time from Luna, when his clearance goes right to Lucas Almeida. His shot deflects off some Pirates and goes in.

PCB falls behind 3-0. In first half added time though, Alassane Kane is fouled hard in the box leading to a penalty kick.

With the chance for comeback opening, Adi Kavara buries it home.

The Pirates give up one in the second half, but score three to tie 4-4.

They finish 2014 with at 4-6-4 season.
