Pirates Lose to Ocala, Still Winless on the Season

Panama City Beach, FL---The Panama City Beach Pirates are still looking for their first win of the 2014 season. The Pirates losing on the home pitch Friday night 4-2, the Ocala Stampede doing that damage. The loss leaves the Pirates 0-2-1 on the young season.

Ocala scored first in the 13th minute on a goal by Freddy Ruiz .

The Pirates are able to tie it up some 18 minutes later when Jack Willison's shot is blocked but Ricky Hoegg is there for the rebound and his goal ties the match at one apiece.

Just a short time later though, 35th minute of the half, Ocala's Kenneth Hogg gets behind the Pirates defense and gets one past keeper Sean Lewis and PCB goes into the half trailing 2-1.

It stays that way until the 56th minute, Willison launches one from beyond 30 yards and that finds the net, the equalizer.

Ocala though scores off a corner and a Darion Copeland header in the 78th minute and Hogg adds another goal in stoppage time and the Pirates fall 4-2.

They are back at it when they play at Bradenton Tuesday.
