Panama City Beach, FL-- We start by looking ahead to a rather big sporting event set for our area come next week, as Hess promotions, which for some time, has been working to promote concerts in the region, will be hosting an extreme fighting event next Tuesday in Panama City Beach, and here's what fans can expect to see in just over a week.
Extreme Fight promoter
"They're gonna see a live, MMA fight at it's best, at the Boardwalk Beach Resort. We've got 8 bouts, the main event is Jeremy May vs. Frank Lester, both of them were in the Ultimate Fighting Championship reality show. And we've got Charles "Crazy Horse" Bennett underneath them, on the card."
For those of you not too familiar with extreme fighting, here's a sample. Hess has purchased a ring similar to the one you see here. He'll put it in the ballroom of the Boardwalk Beach Resort, and surround it with VIP ringside and reserved seating, and beyond that, standing room for general admission ticket holders.
"Everything's coming together real good. A week's a long time when you're working day to day. We're looking forward to it on Monday the 13th, I'm sorry, the 14th, we have the official weigh-in at Laketowne Wharf, poolside. And of course we'll be ready on the 15th. It's a lot different than a concert, I'll tell you that. It's been a lot of hard work but it's been rewarding. We work hand in hand with matchmaker, Matchmakers know what fighters to put together for an exciting bout."
This event dubbed "Beware the Ides of March" since it hits on March 15th. Mark does expect to get plenty of spring breakers interested in it.
He says some of the VIP ringside seats remain, as well as VIP reserved seating, and plenty of general admission tickets. All tickets on sale at area Hooters and Beff O'Brady's.
