Pruitt Officially FSU's Next Defensive Coordinator

Tallahassee, FL---it's official, Florida State has it's next defensive coordinator on board.

It is Jeremy Pruitt coming south from Tuscaloosa where he spent the last two seasons as the Tide's defensive backs coach.

At 38, Pruitt's spent more time on the prep level than in college ball, so some might question his experience level.

Not coach Fisher who says he's very excited to add Jeremy to the staff, saying Pruitt is a "Very good coach, very knowledgeable, great recruiter, been in the game a long time. His father has been a high school coach, coached a long time, very successful high school programs. And very successful, been with coach Saban six years. Interactive with all he's been doing, and very knowledgeable. Had a great rapport with our staff and our players. Really like what he does. He'll be able to add to...we'll keep a lot of the same things we've been doing on defense, and add a few things that they bring. It will be a good mix in allowing us to do some things and add to our package."

Pruitt will stay on at Alabama through it's national championship game then join FSU.

Former Tennessee defensive coordinator Sal Sunseri also coming to FSU to be defensive ends coach.
