Florham Park, NJ---Call it a minor setback of sorts for Port St. Joe alum Calvin Pryor as he works to impress during OTA's with the Jets.
Pryor noticed pain in his jaw while flying home for Memorial Day weekend. After getting back to New York, he talked about that pain with the Jets trainer, who set up a trip to the dentist in New York. That visit showed Calvin needed to have his remaining three wisdom teeth extracted. That will happen by the end of the week.
Meanwhile, the swelling in his mouth kept him from being to put his helmet on, so he sat out most of the drills the last two days up there.
The attached video is from his first rookie minicamp.
It's hoped he'll recover in time for the OTA's next Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.
Pryor says being sidelined by his teeth is "very frustrating, because I want to be out there with the guys. But at the same time, it's just camp. I'm getting my mental reps in. I'm able to communicate, watch more film. I'll get back out soon. "
