Pryor To Miss Jets Preseason Opener

Cortland, NY---It's bad news, sort of, for St. Joe alum Calvin Pryor.
Head Coach Rex Ryan saying Tuesday Calvin will not suit up and play Thursday night in the Jets first preseason game against the Colts.

Pryor suffered a concussion a week and a half ago, and sat out of practice until late last week. He returned to full contact Monday.

Ryan says Calvin's missed a lot of work, and it's just prudent to keep him out Thursday night. He's confident Pryor will be able to play in the Jets second preseason game at Cincinnati a week from Saturday.

Pryor, the Jets first round pick, hoping to win one of the starting safety spots in Ryan's defense.

As for Bay alum Khyri Thornton, a 3rd round pick of the Packers, he is expected to get some playing time Saturday when the Pack plays at Tennessee, we'll hear from Khyri Wednesday night at 6 and 10.
