Raiders Defeat Indians, Teams Tied for First in Panhandle

Niceville, FL---In the men's Panhandle matchup between the 5-2 Chipola Indians and the 4-3 Northwest Florida Raiders, both teams looked to do all they could to improve their conference record.

In the top three of the conference, Northwest Florida entered tied with Gulf Coast in second place, as both squads are one game behind the leading Chipola.

In the highlights attached above, the Raiders dressed in the home white, running the break here early on, Farad Cobb, works it down then gives to Michael Chandler who dunks it, and one.

Indians answer right back, Sam Cassell Jr., for three, still a one possession game first half.

Cassell again a short time later, from even further out, but the game still tied.

Raiders led it 50-40 at the break and they go on to win by 7, 90-83, so these two now tied atop the league standings.

Gulf Coast fell on the road to Pensacola 69-53, after the Commodores shot 22% from the field. With the GC loss, that means that four teams are now within a game of each other for the top two spots in conference.
