Raiders Guard Chris Jones Make D-1 Commitment

Niceville, FL-- One of the region's top college players has his mind made up as to his next collegiate move beyond this year.

Northwest Florida State sophomore guard Chris Jones deciding to end his recruiting process by committing Monday to Louisville.

That's a bit of bad news for coach Hamilton and the Seminoles, who were one of the suitors for Jones.

Kansas, Baylor, Oklahoma State among the other 30 programs hoping to land the 5-11 guard out of Memphis.

The Panhandle player of the year, Jones averaged 18 points, 4 assists and 4 rebounds a game as a freshman, helping the Raiders and first year coach Steve Forbes to conference and state titles, and a trip to the National Championship game.
