Raiders Postpone, Commodores Waiting Out Forecast

Panama City, FL---The weather forecast is forcing the folks at Northwest Florida to push their scheduled games for Wednesday back to Thursday.

The Raiders will host their Pensacola counterparts Thursday with the start times still set for 5:30 and 7:30, the men playing the latter game.

For now Tuesday's scheduled hoops games at Tallahassee are on, but Gulf Coast A.D. Gregg Wolfe says that could change.

Wolfe says he and his Tallahassee counterpart Rob Chaney will keep a very close eye on the weather advisories, if if they dictate, they will push those games back.

Wolfe says upon making any decision, he will also confer with the team's travel provider Kincaid Coach as to the forecast and the ability to travel safely.

The expectation is the weather will start to worsen Tuesday evening, and that could have an effect on the team's trip back home to Gulf Coast. Wolfe says he will advise again tomorrow as to whatever decision they make.

The Gulf Coast men coming off the big win over Chipola Saturday, so the Indians still atop the league at 4-1 with the Commodores and Raiders at 3-2.

The Lady Indians winning the first game at Harrison Saturday, they're 6-0, Northwest 4-1 and the Lady Commodores at 2-3.
