Niceville, Fl-- This Friday the Northwest Florida Raiders will pack up the bus and head to Hutchinson Kansas for making this the 11th straight year a Panhandle team has had a spot at the National Tournament.

But unlike every other year, some teams had to wait with bated breath as this was the first time in the 66 year tournament history that schools could have gotten in through an at-large bid.

But as of 1 PM Monday afternoon, Northwest Coach Steve Forbes knew his team will have a chance to win the national tournament,

"We are very thankful to the NJCAA selection committee for giving us the opportunity you know to continue our season and to participate in a very prestigious national tournament. And we're being rewarded for having an outstanding regular season, you know and winning the best conference in Florida and then just being upset in the Region tournament, you know I think I'm very grateful at the opportunity."

Northwest finished the season with a 26 and 3 record and will play against USC Salkehatchie next Monday at 12 PM.
