Raiders Win in Semi's, Get Rematch with C. Florida

Hutchinson, KS--The Northwest Florida Raiders are going back to the national championship game!

Coach Steve Forbes and his Raiders getting a 76-69 win over Vincennes out of Indiana Friday night, which puts the Raiders in back to back national championship finals. Last year they lost that final game, this year they're hoping to take it one game further.

Saturday night's opponent ironically will be Central Florida, the same Central Florida team that beat Northwest Florida in the state semifinals earlier this month in Marianna, 74-71. That was the game in which guard Chris Jones was ejected for getting a double technical. That ejection forced Jones to miss the first game at nationals.

Jones led the way Friday night with 21 points, Marvin Williams added 14 and Tevin Glass 11.

That championship game set for 8 pm Saturday night in Hutchinson, Newschannel 7 Sports will have highlights Saturday night at 10.
