Raiders Working to Deal Better with "Pressure"

Niceville, FL---Wednesday marks another round of play for two of the area's three juco men's hoops teams, both Gulf Coast and Northwest Florida are in action Wednesday night.

The Commodores will host Tallahassee, while the Raiders,
play at Pensacola.

Coach Steve Forbes and his Raiders coming off their first league loss, the 82-79 defeat at Chipola Saturday.

"Well we didn't handle their pressure very well late in the game." says Forbes. "We had an 8 point lead, we were in control of the game with about 7 minutes to go and then we didn't handle their pressure very well, and we turned it over I think four or five straight possessions. Chris had to go to the bench with four fouls. And so we just didn't handle their pressure so we've just gotta do a better job of handling pressure, especially late in the game."

So the Raiders and Indians have split their first two, the Raiders still lead the league with a 5-1 conference slate, Indians alone in second at 4-2, the Commodores are third at 3-3.
