Rain Washes out Gulf Coast Baseball Friday

Panama City, FL--- Rain put a halt on Friday's action at Frazier Field where Gulf Coast was supposed to finish it's three game set with Pensacola.

Less than ideal conditions push the game back as the Commodores and Pirates will make it in Panama City here this Tuesday at 5.

A win against the last place Pirates would've clinched a spot in the state tournament, but Gulf Coast doesn't have to wait long for another opportunity.

The silver lining for Commodores fans, the team can also clinch a postseason spot Saturday as they're set to host third place Northwest Florida.

GC swept the Raiders in their three game series that ran through the end of March and early April. A win means at worst, they'll finish second in the Panhandle, which sends them to state. First pitch set for 1 PM.

Northwest Florida also called their game with Tallahassee Friday and will also make it up Tuesday.

In high school, Bozeman and Rutherford's matchup tonight will be pushed to Saturday at 3 in Springfield.
