Rain washes out some Rutherford games locally, while Mosley starts off with a win at an Elite tourney in Kissimmee!

Panama City, FL--Tuesday's rainy weather turned out to be a bummer for scores of youth baseball teams participating in session three of the Grand Slam World Series baseball event. Rutherford is among the 16 teams playing in the U-16 division, coach Hudson and the Rams set to play two games Tuesday on their home field. The rain pushing both of those games back to Wednesday. In fact the entire slate of play for all the teams involved at all the venues, from Mosley, Rutherford Bay, Gulf Coast and Frank Brown, moved to Wednesday. The Mosley Dolphins meanwhile playing in the U-S-S-S-A Elite World Series in central Florida this week. 60 16 and under teams playing down there, from all over the country and Puerto Rico. 'fins off to a good start, beating a team out of Wisconsin 4-2 Tuesday, junior to be Joey Hair with 11 k's in 5 innings of one hit work. The Mosley squad will take on a team from Atlanta Wednesday morning there.
