Panama City, FL---The Rutherford Rams proved to be no match for powerhouse West Florida Thursday night at foggy Tommy Oliver Stadium.
The Jaguars scored on their first play from scrimmage on a 63 yard touchdown pass from Joey Baker to Lawrence Lee. Baker would later lead the Jag's on a field goal drive and scored another first half touchdown on a 23 yard run up the middle.
West Florida built a 17-0 lead by halftime, and then added 3 more second half td's on the way to a 38-6 win. Rutherford's defense did make a few big plays, in particular interceptions by Justin Bailey and Dondrell Harris in the second quarter. But the Rams offense just couldn't get untracked.
The loss drops Rutherford to 1-6 overall, now 0-2 in 5A district 1 play.
