Rams Getting Ready for Regional FInals Matchup

Springfield, FL---In preparation of their 5A regional finals contest this Saturday, the Rutherford Rams have been hard at work on the practice court to continue their push for Lakeland.

For coach Rhondie Ross and his team, the game will mark a 4th region final appearance in the last 5 years.

Rutherford started the playoffs with wins over Wakulla and Rickards. That has them hosting Bishop Kenny, a school out of Jacksonville, that in a an odd way, the Rams should be familiar with.

"Bishop Kenny in my opinion is almost a mirror image of us," says coach Ross. "The last two days I've watched there last three ballgames on film. We know we've got a tough task. They could really shot the basketball and they've got some guys that can really make plays off the dribble. And they're small like we are. I think people are gonna see a mirror image of our team. They run good offense, they're very sound defensively, they're very good. And at this stage everybody's good."

That game at Rutherford Saturday set for 7 PM.
