Springfield, FL--The bad weather that rolled in Thursday night forced Rutherford to postpone it's game in the 18U Grand Slam World Series.

The Rams will now take on the Cincinnati Stix Friday morning at 8 in a winner's bracket game. Before the storms came in, we talked with Jon Hudson about what this tournament and summer ball in general means to his Rutherford players.

"We spend the summer time playing as many games as we can." says coach Hudson. "You know we have about 65 games scheduled for the guys, we use this time for them to get out there and experience the game. We can practice forever but you can't get the same experience that you can in a competitive situation like you can in the World Series here. So it's a good experience for us to get out and get some good competition and compete."

Again the Rams look for their 4th win of that tourney Friday at 8 at Shamplain.
