Rams Pressure Their Way to Big Win at Arnold

Panama City Beach, FL---The Rutherford Rams remain undefeated after a trip to Arnold Tuesday night in which the Rams started fast and never looked back, winning 62-13.

Rutherford working a press from the opening tip, and taking advantage of several early turnovers to outscore Arnold 22-1 in the first quarter.

Things got no easier for Arnold in the second quarter, though the Marlins did manage a couple of field goals. The Rams continue to keep up the pressure, taking a 39-8 lead into the half.

Arnold able to put up just four points in the final two quarters, again the final tally being 62-13. Rutherford moving to 7-0 overall and 2-0 in 5A district 1 play.

Rams get things going with the turnover and the lay in by Khaliel Spearman.

Then it's the pass to the corner for Gabe Steele who hits for three.

The Rams press forces another turnover a bit later, and again it's Spearman laying it in, Rutherford with a 22-1 spurt in the first quarter.

Second quarter, Arnold gives it's fans something to cheer about, Joe Craig blocks Jai Jencks, loose ball to BJ Murray who drives it down and he hits the jumper.

The Rams though would continue to dominate, a bullet pass ahead to Keith Arts, and then on transition, it's Khaliel to Williamson to Arts.
