Springfield, FL---The Rutherford Rams continue their winning ways Wednesday night, beating Revis out of Illinois 7-6 in comeback fashion.
The Rams trailed 1-0 into the second inning, and rallied for three runs on a throwing error, a passed ball and an rbi single by Dakota McWilliams.
Revis came back with 4 in the 4th, but the Rams would chip away and eventually walk away with the 7-6 victory.
That takes Rutherford's season mark to 14-3, as they look ahead to another district game Friday when they host Gulf Breeze.
The attached video shows the following:
-Rams trail 1-0 into the bottom of the second, but rally there, Jeremy Leno lays down the bunt, catcher tosses it down the line, Kendall Herron scores.
-Then it's Tyler Broxton jogging home with the Rams second run after this pitch goes off the catcher's glove.
-Dakota McWilliams then lines an rbi single to right, plating Tristian Whaley.
-Revis would come back with 4 runs in the top of the 4th, and built a 5-4 lead.
-The Rams though would rally back and eventually win the game by a
score of 7-6. So Rutherford runs it's record to 14-4.
