Rams Set for Home Opener

Springfield, FL--Friday night at Tommy Oliver it's the home debut of Rutherford and first year coach Alvin Dempsey. They Rams host Escambia.

The first two weeks on the road not kind to Rutherford, losses to Florida and Milton, by a combined score of 81-20.

That sounds bad, and coach Dempsey admits his team is a work in progress. Right now he says it's about putting together a full game effort on both sides of the ball.

"The first game offensively we moved the ball well," Dempsey says "defensively we weren't very great. The second game offensively we didn't move the ball well, but defensively we put it all together. If we can put both aspects together, we're going to be in good shape. We've been doing a lot of work teaching the kids competitiveness, it's one of the things. We've ended the games pretty good, and if we just start like we end, we'll be in great shape."

That game at T.O. another one we'll have for you on Friday Night Overtime.
