Rams Set to Host Bay in Friday Showdown

Springfield, FL---You can call it one of the bigger high school basketball games set for Bay County in quite some time.

Bay travels over to Springfield to face county and district rival Rutherford Friday night. Those two a combined 25-5 on the season, Bay 13-3, the Rams are 12-2. Both teams are 5-0 in 5-A district one play.

So the winner gets the inside track to the top seeding in the district tournament early next month.

We heard from the Bay camp Wednesday, here's Rutherford's Rhondie Ross' thoughts as he prepares his team for the Friday showdown.

"Bay is a really talented team, they're really good. I think this is coach Grady's best team since he's been there. A lot of those guys have came up together. He had a really good freshman class and now those guys are juniors and seniors. They're really playing well, we're gonna have a tough time with them."

The Rams will host Friday night's game, with tipoff set for 7. The two teams will meet again, at Bay on the 24th.
