Rams Set to Host West Florida Friday

Springfield, FL---It's probably safe to call it a "must win" situation for the Rutherford Rams Friday night. The Rams host powerhouse and undefeated West Florida in the game that is our Personal Attention Dental Care Game of the Week.

The Rams are 1-1 in district play, coming off the unexpected bye at Gulf Breeze last week, that game postponed because the ref's never showed. So no game to perhaps build momentum for Rutherford, but there certainly is a silver lining in that.

"We're coming in fresh against a great football team in West Florida you know. We're not nursing any injuries right now, we're healthy right now, we're coming in with a full team against West Florida. Those guys are loaded, they've got great athletes across the board, a great quarterback, great receivers, but you know we've got some good guys on our side. The name of the game is contain. And if we do the right things, we'll be ok."

West Florida indeed very good on both sides of the ball, averaging 45 points a game on offense, surrendering just ten per on defense. The Rams racking 30 points a game offensively, so perhaps they can score enough to come out with the win. That one of several games we'll feature tomorrow night on Friday Night Overtime.
