Salina, KS---The Chipola women's basketball team gets a victory in it's opener at the 24 team women's National Tournament in Salina Kansas Monday night. They beat Southwest Illinois 78-62.
Rayven Brooks leading the way with 29 points, as she and the Lady Indians led the entire way after scoring the first four points of the game.
In fact the Lady Indians held a double digit lead for the majority of the contest. They built a 15 point lead by the half, 40-25, and were never challenged after starting the second half with a 7-0 run.
The win puts Chipola into a second round game Wednesday afternoon against Southern Idaho.
