Tallahassee, FL-- There's news Monday concerning the immediate future of Bay alum Bert Reed. The FSU senior, if he's healthy enough, will play in a postseason All-Star game next month. Bert's accepted an invitation to play in the inaugural Battle of Florida All-Star game in Boca Raton January 21st. That's the game that has Bobby Bowden coaching the North squad, Schnellenberger coaching the South. As we told you Saturday, Bert's now doubtful for FSU's Champs Sports Bowl game on the 29th after pulling a hamstring in practice Friday. Barring another setback, Bert should have that hammy healed up and be good to go by late next month. Other FSU players that have committed to that game include Jermaine Thomas, JaBaris Little and Terrance Parks. Reliford, Bradham, Powell, Datko and others have been invited but are obviously awaiting other all star game invites.
