Tallahassee, FL---As the first day of official fall practice nears for the Seminoles, that's Monday by the way, coach Jimbo Fisher is thinning the herd you might say!
Fisher kicking cornerback and return man Greg Reid off the team Wednesday for violating team rules.
Reid, a three year starter for the Seminoles, not giving the coach much choice in the matter.
He's a "repeat violator" if you will. His latest transgression coming in mid-July, he was charged with possession of marijuana, and driving with a suspended license. That following a stop in southern Georgia near his home in Lowndes County.
Reid said he had no knowledge of the pot in his car. Reid was also arrested last fall on perjury charges that were dropped, and he was suspended last year for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Reid started 9 games last season, 32 tackles, two picks, had 563 yards in punt returns and the td return against Miami.
Jimbo says he won't let off the field distractions derail a possible title run this season, he obviously means it!
