Athens, GA--Georgia running back Isaiah Crowell has been dismissed from the team by coach Mark Richt.
Crowell arrested overnight Thursday and charged with carrying a concealed weapon, a weapon that had it's serial numbers scratched off.
Crowell and some teammates stopped at a vehicle checkpoint near Georgia's campus around 2 this morning.
The arresting officer smelled marijuanna, the players consented to a search of the car, no pot found, but the gun was.
Crowell says the gun's not his, other people use his car. At any rate he was booked and charged, then later released.
Crowell rushed for 850 yards and 5 td's last season but spent a lot of time in Richt's doghouse with previous disciplinary problems and again, now he's done at Georgia.
