Rocky Start Sinks Mosley in Region Final

Green Cove Springs, FL---The Mosley Dolphins see their season end on the road in the Jacksonville area, as they lose to Clay in the 5A Region Final Tuesday 8-3.

The Dolphins unable to recover from a very shaky start by freshman Weston Bizzle, who's right arm has helped carry the Dolphins much of the season and certainly down the stretch. Bizzle walked Clay's leadoff hitter, and then hit the next three Blue Devils batters, forcing in a run and tying the game at one.

Clay's pitcher Andy Toelkin then stroked a triple down the right field line plating all three runners, making it 4-1. Toelkin then scored on a single to center by Tyler Morris, it was 5-1 after one.

The Dolphins came back with two runs in the top of the second, both coming on the rbi single up the middle by Timmy Nolan and it was 5-3.

The Blue Devils plate another in the bottom on the second on a sacrifice fly by Hunter Alexander. Then the young man who fractured bones in his face while hitting in the cage just a couple of weeks ago, hit a two run homer in left center, making it 8-3.

Toelkin finished it out from there, it ends 8-3. Mosley's season ends with a record of 26-4.
