Rutherford and Bay anticipate a tough game

SPRINGFIELD, Fla- Rutherford is looking to rebound from a tough loss on the road against arch-rival Bay.

The Rutherford rams are now 2-4 overall, and 1-2 in 3-A district one play. That after a disappointing trip to Gulf Breeze that resulted in a 31-20 loss.

"We came in and looked at the film, just the effort and technique, there just wasn't much that went right over there." Rutherford head coach Jeff Rolson said. "And it's gone and you can't take it back. You just gotta regroup and focus on the things we know we can control, that's effort, attitude and do those things. So we're trying to get better and it's a process and we're still in the middle of it."

Falling to one and three in district play would pretty much kill any postseason hopes, so the Rams, and Bay for that matter, which also has a 1-2 district mark, have to look at tomorrow night's matchup as a do or die kind of game. Kickoff at T.O. set for 7.

I was confused about how Rutherford played against Bay High "on the road." Now I see you meant, "After a tough loss on the road, Rutherford is looking to rebound against arch-rival Bay."
